The focus of Grade 6 at St. Joseph’s School is to build student responsibility, self-awareness, and respect for others. This occurs in a variety of ways. Students build a sense of self through learning about growth mindset and exploring their strengths and challenges. Social awareness and respect for others is developed through an understanding of different learning styles and opportunities to work cooperatively with peers. And responsibility for self is emphasized through daily routines and goal setting. Grade 6 aims to provide students with a safe environment, one where they can each grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, and intellectually, in becoming contributing members of the community.
