Grade 6

 Grade 6 at St. Joseph’s is a pivotal year. Students focus on becoming responsible and contributing citizens of their classroom and school communities. This occurs in a variety of ways. Students learn in a structured and organized environment, where they are held responsible for their learning. They are introduced to the idea of a growth mindset, and explore their strengths and weaknesses. Different learning styles and challenges are emphasized and encouraged. Students are given the opportunity to work cooperatively with others in a safe and positive atmosphere. During this year, students learn more about themselves and begin to see ways they are a part of the larger fabric of society
